TURF TODAY WITH BRIAN SELTZER

This week on Turf Today, part of the Superintendent Network, we’re joined by Brian Seltzer, a turfgrass student at Penn State who is starting his internship and was a volunteer at the recent Players Championship.

Brian’s journey into the turf industry is anything but conventional. He began as a mathematics major and competed in NCAA downhill ski racing. Eventually, though, he found his way back to the golf course, which ignited a new passion: pursuing turfgrass management.

In this episode, we explore his path, the experiences that have shaped him along the way, and what it’s like seeing his volunteer opportunities firsthand at such a major event. Brian demonstrates that with passion and determination, building a successful career in the golf industry is possible.
