TURF TODAY WITH ERIC VAN GERWEN

We’re excited to welcome Eric Van Gerwen to Turf Today on the Superintendent Network. After several years in the golf industry, Eric is currently in his first season as Superintendent at Black Bear Ridge Resort, a leading golf course in Belleville, Ontario.

Eric began his journey in turf management at the University of Guelph. He then went on to complete a business degree at Trent University. His background in business has helped set him apart in the industry, particularly in managing teams and making strategic decisions that impact all aspects of the club.

In his new role, Eric discusses how he approaches necessary change and ongoing course improvements, and he emphasizes the importance of a strong support system at home, which plays a key role in his commitment to the profession.
