This week on Turf Today on the Superintendent Network, we’re joined by Nick Daley, Superintendent at Capilano Golf and Country Club in Vancouver.

Nick earned his turfgrass certificate through Penn State for a career that has taken him across the globe. Along the way, he gained experience in a variety of volunteer and professional roles, eventually becoming an assistant superintendent. In 2023, he was recognized for the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) Assistant Superintendent of the Year Award.

A native of Sydney, Australia, Nick now oversees one of Canada’s premier private golf facilities. Leading a crew has its challenges, but Nick finds a balance of managing both people and exceptional playing conditions. He also shares how to stay passionate about his career while leading and communicating with his staff. Nick offers an insightful look at what it takes to succeed in modern golf course management.
