TURF TODAY WITH JUSTIN MCGOHON

This week on Turf Today, we’re joined by Justin McGohon, Senior Assistant Superintendent at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, KY. Although Justin is back in his hometown, stepping into a new role comes with its own challenges. Known for his strong work ethic, Justin once worked the overnight shift at UPS for six years to fund his first degree before pursuing a career in turf management.

Over the years, he has contributed to numerous major tournaments and worked under a variety of leaders, gaining invaluable experience along the way. While the club prioritizes its members, the turf maintenance team also plays a critical role in supporting the University of Louisville golf team. Justin stands out as a dedicated professional and leader, someone well on his way to achieving his goal of becoming a superintendent.
