Jeff Markow joins Turf Today on the Superintendent Network, who has served as Superintendent at Cypress Point Club in Pebble Beach, CA, for an impressive 32 years. Back in the early 1980s, limited job opportunities led Jeff to switch majors and pursue turfgrass management at Penn State.

He reflects on his extraordinary career, managing an elite golf course, appreciating the flexibility the climate allows, and recognizing the mentors and colleagues who have influenced his path. From encouraging others to gain valuable experience to building lasting relationships and helping people along the way, he just wants to be remembered as a good superintendent, a great dad, and a loving husband. His advice is to not overthink it and just keep things simple.
